Quickstart 3.6 comes to Arizona Sites on October 28th, bringing more of the university’s new brand guidelines to campus websites. Building on the Arizona.edu redesign, refreshed typography and button styles help create a connected university experience while making your content easier to read and scan.

A Stronger Visual Hierarchy

Larger headings help visitors identify major sections and scan for information. Larger body text and bolder lead text give your content a more readable, expressive presentation. Updated button styles align with the main navigation for a more cohesive experience.

These changes put the university’s typography principles into practice: using type thoughtfully to establish hierarchy, support readability and create a consistent visual rhythm. Proxima Nova continues to provide the foundation for your site’s everyday content.

Review How Your Content Fits

The updated styles apply automatically with Quickstart 3.6. You don’t need to reformat existing content to receive them, but reviewing your pages can help you make the most of the changes.

Start with page titles and section headings. With larger headings, shorter wording may keep your layout balanced and make key points easier to scan. Aim for descriptive titles that communicate the section’s purpose, and move supporting detail into the text below.

Review buttons alongside your content, too. Clear labels that describe the destination or action help visitors decide what to do next.

An Optional Serif Style

The new sizes apply to your existing sans-serif headings by default. Sites can also choose to enable Garamond Premier Pro, the serif typeface used for prominent headings in the Arizona.edu redesign.

That optional setting offers another way to express the university’s brand, particularly when you want to convey academic tradition, scholarship or enduring legacy.
