Floating Elements

Quickstart has a default floating element for the Back to Top button.

There may be cases where a floating element is needed on a custom website, like a chat functionality.

These are the details for the Back to Top button to keep in mind when developing extra floating elements.

  • The back to top button automatically appears when a page's content is longer than 3 times the display port's height.
  • The button will not appear at all if the page's content is too short.
  • Button size is 115px wide x 36px tall
  • Margin-right and margin-bottom is 20px each
  • Total area to avoid in the bottom right corner is 135px wide x 56px tall

How to remove the Back to Top button

Removal is a good interim solution, but should not be used long-term due to lowered accessibility of your website.

An administrator of the website must complete these steps.

  1. Navigate to Appearance > Arizona Barrio > Settings
  2. Uncheck the box for "Add back to top button to pages longer than 4 screens (browser window height)."
