Adding Opportunities

Opportunities are detailed offerings your visitors can participate in, including Scholarships, Internships, Research Opportunities, and Study Abroad options.


Note: An administrator must enable the "Quickstart Opportunity" module on your site in order to use this feature. Submit a request to have this module enabled on your website.

Opportunities are currently an Experimental module - Submit a request if you have any problems or feedback.

How to Create an Opportunity

  1. Navigate to Manage > Content
  2. Click the Add Content button
  3. Select Opportunity
  4. (Required) Enter the title of the Opportunity.
  5. Add a Category to help organize your Opportunity.
    1. Opportunity Categories can be used in views to organize listings. Learn about managing taxonomies
  6. Program Length is a description box that tells visitors how long a single offering occurs.
  7. Tick the Ongoing box if this isn't a dated opportunity - if you want it to appear on views even after the Application Date has passed.
  8. The Application Date is when applications are open.
    1. If the application date has passed and it's not ongoing, this opportunity may expire (similar to past Events)
  9. The Program Date is the range when the program is running. This is usually after the application date.
  10. The Offered box shows which Semester the opportunity is offered, useful for ongoing Opportunities.
  11. Add a Program Website for extended info about the program.
  12. Add an Application Link to where users can apply.
  13. Add a Location where this opportunity takes place.
  14. Add a tag for Incentives if your opportunity is paid or offers compensation.
  15. Add Credit if this opportunity grants univesrity credit.
  16. Finally, fill in the Overview and Eligibility text areas for other details.
