Make Key Points Stand Out with New List Styles
Quickstart 3.6 comes to Arizona Sites on October 28, bringing more of the university’s new brand guidelines to campus websites. New Focus Point and Checkmark list styles build on the Arizona.edu redesign, giving you more ways to highlight important information within the shared university brand.
Larger text and wider spacing give individual points room to stand out, helping visitors scan content you want to emphasize.
Focus Point: Highlight Your Main Ideas
Focus Point gives each item a distinctive visual accent. Use it for short lists of important ideas, highlights or takeaways.
[Apply Focus Point styling to the following list]
- Draw attention to what makes your program or service distinctive.
- Break a larger message into clear, memorable points.
- Give featured information more prominence within your page.
Checkmark: Emphasize Benefits and Included Features
Checkmark pairs each item with a familiar symbol that can reinforce what your audience will receive or have access to. It works well for benefits and included features.
[Apply Checkmark styling to the following list]
- Larger text that helps key information stand out.
- Wider spacing that gives each point room to breathe.
- Brand-aligned styling available directly in the text editor.
Choose this style where the symbol supports your meaning. For requirements or tasks, consider whether a checkmark could suggest something has already been completed.
Where to Find Them
Both styles are available in the text editor. Apply your preferred style to a bulleted list, then review it in the context of the page.
Keep items concise and use these treatments selectively so your most important information retains its emphasis. Standard bullets remain useful for longer lists and supporting details.
A Closer Look at the Implementation
