Quickstart can import events that were created on Trellis into your website to display on your calendar and event views.
Note
You must have the Content Administrator role to be able to modify Trellis Events imports.
Enable the module
Site Administrators can:
- Go to Extend from the top toolbar.
- Search for the Quickstart Event - Trellis Event Importer module.
- Check the box next to the Quickstart Event - Trellis Event Importer module.
- Click Install at the bottom of the page to enable the module.
Note: The Quickstart Event - Trellis Event Importer module is experimental.
Import events from Trellis
- Navigate to Content > Trellis event importer
- Search for the Trellis event’s Event ID
- Select the event from the search results and click Import
Note that events imported from Trellis will not be editable within your website. However, you may still apply your custom taxonomy terms to these events.
Note
Trellis Event Organizers must ensure that Events intended to be imported are Published, have a status of active on the Basic Info tab, and are set to "Broadcast to all Platforms" on the Promotion tab. If an event is imported without the proper settings, it will not display consistently on the webpage.
To add a recurring import, you must first follow the instructions above to apply a search for Trellis Events.
- Search for the event
- Click the Create recurring import button
- Add an Import rule name
- This name is only used on the website to be able to reference its settings later
- Modify any search parameters as needed
- Click Save
- You will then be directed to the list of all recurring imports on the website
- Navigate to
/admin/config/az-quickstart/settings/az-recurring-import-rule
- Click on Quickstart 2.x.x in the black bar
- Click Settings
- Click Recurring imports
- Click Edit next to the rule you wish to modify
- Here you will also have the option to enable or disable the recurring import rule
- Save
- Navigate to
/admin/config/az-quickstart/settings/az-recurring-import-rule
- Click the down arrow next to Edit
- Click Delete
- Click Delete on the confirmation page
In order to import Trellis Events based on Enterprise Attributes, a site administrator will need to enable the "Quickstart Enterprise Attributes Import" module on your website.
- Go to Extend from the top toolbar.
- Search for the Quickstart Enterprise Attributes Import module.
- Check the box next to the Quickstart Enterprise Attributes Import module.
- Click Install at the bottom of the page to enable the module.
Note: The Quickstart Enterprise Attributes Import module is experimental.
Update events in Trellis
Events imported from Trellis are automatically updated every 12 hours to match the event details provided by Trellis. So if changes need to be made, they can be made in Trellis and the website will automatically update to match.
