Building Webforms

Adding elements, pages, and layouts to a webform will allow the user to customize it to the needs of their webpage. Users can also test the webform as they go through the building process.

Adding elements to the webform enables site owners to retrieve the desired information in different formats from users.

  1. Navigate to Manage Structure > Webforms.
  2. Create a new Webform or build an existing one.
  3. Select Add Element.
  4. Choose from the menu the desired element to add, and select Add Element.
    • NOTE: If specific information such as an email or phone number is needed, it is recommended to utilize the specific fields for this information.
  5. Fill in the required information.
  6. Save

NOTE: There is a preview of each element available to users, helping to find the best fit for your webform.

Adding Pages to a webform enables site owners to create multiple page webforms, so that retrieved information can be sectioned off.

  3. Select Add Page.
  4. Fill in the required information.

  6. Select Add Element to insert webform elements within the Layout.

The Test form allows a webform to be tested using a customizable test dataset. Multiple test submissions can be created.

  2. Create a new Webform or build an existing one.
  3. Select Test.
    • Information within the webform will be autofilled with random responses.
