Many of the advanced options for a webform element require knowledge of CSS, so these are often unused. Descriptions of the different areas are provided below.
This area allows editors to prepopulate the webform element.
Editing Default Value
- Select Edit next to the desired webform element.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab.
- Input Default value.
- Some elements also include Return value.
- Select Set default value.
- Save.
This area allows editors to alter the page wrapper around the element and its label.
Fields
Wrapper CSS classes: Allows editors to apply predefined CSS classes or specify a custom class.
Wrapper CSS style: Allows editors to apply custom styles. Requires CSS knowledge.
Wrapper custom attributes: Allows editors to apply additional custom styles to the wrapper. Requires YAML knowledge.
This area allows editors to alter the display of the element's title.

Item format: Alters the format of the submission. The most common formats are Value, Raw Value, and Custom.
Display CSS classes: Allows editors to apply predefined CSS classes or specify a custom class to the submission's wrapper.
Display CSS style: Allows editors to apply custom styles. Requires CSS knowledge.
Display custom attributes: Allows editors to apply additional custom styles to the wrapper. Requires YAML knowledge.
This area allows editors to change the element name and add notes while working in the Build tab. The title entered in the General tab will be displayed on the published webform.
Fields
Admin title: Allows editors to change the webform element's name displayed in Build view.
Admin notes: Allows editors to add notes to the element in a tooltip next to the element name.
