Adding News Feeds

News feeds allow you to pull in articles from UA News or specific UA News topics.

Note: Administrative access is required to setup this feature.

Add a UA News Feed {default ua news feed}

  1. Enable the required features and modules
    1. In the Admin view, navigate to Structure > Features > The University of Arizona
    2. Enable UAQS News - Feeds
    3. Navigate to Modules > Search for "feeds"
    4. Enable Feeds Admin UI

Add a UA News Feed for a Specific Topic

  1. Enable the required features and modules
    1. In the Admin view, navigate to Structure > Features > The University of Arizona
    2. Enable UAQS News - Feeds
    3. Navigate to Modules > Search for "feeds"
    4. Enable Feeds Admin UI
    5. Enable Feeds Tamper Admin UI
  2. Navigate to Structure > Feeds importers
  3. Clone UAQS News Feed
    1. Name your feed
    2. Paste https://uanews.arizona.edu/feed/json/stories/{topic-name} into the description
      • Example: https://uanews.arizona.edu/feed/json/stories/campus-news
    3. Check the Clone Tamper Plugins box
    4. Save
  4. Add the appropriate News taxonomy terms
    1. Navigate to your news feed Tamper
    2. Edit the value of Blank source 2 -> News Tags
    3. Insert matching taxonomy term name
    4. Save
  5. Run News Import
    1. Navigate to Imports page (/import)
    2. Click on desired import feed
    3. If URL field does not have a feed URL, add https://uanews.arizona.edu/feed/json/stories/{topic-name}
      • Example: https://uanews.arizona.edu/feed/json/stories/science-and-technology
    • Import
  6. Add news view to desired page with matching taxonomy argument
  7. Save
